Privacy Policy
How this website handles personal data, cookies and the photographs of programme participants.

Who we are
This website is operated by Guoqiang Public Welfare Foundation (Hong Kong) Limited, a charitable institution exempt from tax under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, with its registered office at 21st Floor, Edinburgh Tower, The Landmark, 15 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong.
For any question about this policy or about how your personal data is handled, write to guoqianghk@outlook.com.
What this site collects
This is a static website. It has no user accounts, no login, no comment system and no online forms. We do not ask you to submit personal data in order to browse any page.
Our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is served — including IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp. These logs are generated for security and reliability purposes and are retained by the provider under its own retention schedule. We do not use them to build profiles of individual visitors.
Cookies
We do not set advertising, profiling or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics on this site. If we add analytics in future, this policy will be updated first and, where consent is required, you will be asked before any non-essential cookie is set.
Pages that embed or link to third-party services — for example CCTV, CGTN, university websites or WeChat Channels — are governed by those organisations' own privacy policies once you follow the link.
Contacting us by email
If you write to us at the address published on this site, we will use your email address and the content of your message only to respond to you and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not add you to any mailing list without your agreement, and we do not sell or rent contact details to anyone.
Photographs of programme participants
This site publishes photographs and quotations from participants in the Foundation's programmes. These are published with the consent of the individuals concerned and, where a participant was under 18 at the time, with the consent of a parent or guardian.
If you appear in a photograph or quotation on this site and would like it removed, email guoqianghk@outlook.com and we will take it down.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong you may request access to, and correction of, personal data we hold about you.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR give you additional rights: to obtain a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. Where we process personal data about visitors from these regions, we do so on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website, or on your consent where you have contacted us directly.
To exercise any of these rights, email guoqianghk@outlook.com. We aim to respond within one month.
Data sharing and transfers
We do not sell personal data. Server logs are held by our hosting provider, which operates infrastructure outside Hong Kong; where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the provider's contractual safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site develops. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
